Who we are
Jenny originally trained as a dancer and has performed professionally worldwide. She has always had a passion for the body and the creative potential of movement which has drawn her towards various movement practices throughout her life. She more recently worked as a choreographer running a North West based dance company with both professional touring productions and working in community settings as a dance artist. Jenny has also been teaching yoga for over 10 years which began her passion for understanding the healing potential of the body, she continues to share the importance of movement far and wide.
She is now in her final year of Osteopathic Study at the College of Osteopaths, affiliated with the university of Derby and will be soon opening an Osteopathic Clinic in Lancaster, she is passionate about enabling people to live a full and healthy life by looking at a person as a whole and offering lifestyle advice as well as treatment and guidance in their unique health and recovery journey.
Why manual therapy?
Manual Therapy is a type of physical treatment focused on reducing muscular-skeletal aches and pains and maintaining optimal mobility and health in the body.
Jenny is a manual therapist, fully qualified and insured in soft tissue massage techniques, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilisation techniques and acupuncture and dry needling. She can support and treat MSK injuries, repetitive strain injuries and injuries from traumas including back pain, joint pain, lower and upper extremity pain and neurological symptoms. She has particular interests in foot biomechanics, as healthy mobile feet can often reduce symptoms in other parts of the body. She also enjoys supporting those with Osteo-arthritis and can help patients pre or post operative with treatment and pre/rehab.
